This website was created to share the many photos accumulated by Gallions Mount School over many years and for past pupils and staff to share their memories of their time at the school.
Restrictions on Photos
There has quite rightly been an increasing sensitivity to the taking and sharing of images of children. All the photos on the site have at some time been shared with the children and their parents. There are no photos of children who are currently under 18 years of age and no name is associated with a particular image so as to avoid individuals being identified. That said, anyone who feels uncomfortable about their image being on the site is able to ask for their image to be removed. The purpose of the watermark is to indicate that the image is restricted to this site, although a request may be made to receive a clean higher quality image by those who would like a copy for themselves.
Navigating the Website
The photos are grouped in separate collections and are labelled, where possible, with the year taken and academic birth year of the children involved. Thus a pupil born in February 1994 may be searched for in the “b.93-94” collections. As some year groups were mixed ages it will be useful to search either side of a specific date to ensure everyone is included.
